Dianne Feinstein is voting against her constituents’ interests again. You have to wonder what she’s getting out of this.
Feinstein is sponsoring a bill, along with Republican Robert Bennett, which will allow electronic voting without a paper trail. A paper trail is crucial to fair elections because electronic voting machines are both buggy and ridiculously easy to hack, and with vendors like Diebold - perhaps insecure by design. See a NY Times Op-Ed on this bill.
If you’re as tired of Dianne Feinstein’s questionable values as I am, please consider donating $10 to help censure her. Unfortunately, she’s not up for reelection until 2012, so censuring is the best we can do for now.
Please call Feinstein’s office and let them know what you think about this.
